Support
Effective 2026-10-11
Write to support@i4c.studio. A person reads it.
What to include
- What you did and what you expected to happen.
- Your phone model and Android version, or the browser you use.
- The details from your phone: in the app open Settings, then Help, tap Copy details for support and paste them into your email. They do not include your license key or anything that lets someone join your household.
Reminders are not arriving
- Open Settings, then Help. If Android is blocking notifications, the card says so. Tap Turn on reminders, or open the phone's Settings, Apps, Aibou, Notifications.
- Reminders can arrive late when Android holds them back to save battery, sometimes until you unlock the phone. In Settings, Help, tap Allow on-time reminders and allow Alarms & reminders for Aibou.
- Tap Send a test reminder to check that one reaches you.
- A schedule only reminds you if you picked a reminder time. Open the pet, tap the schedule and choose when.
- Reminders only pop up in the Android app. In the browser, keep Aibou open and Today shows what is due.
My license key will not work
- Paste the key exactly as it came in the receipt email from Polar, from the first letter to the last.
- Changing phones does not use it up. A new phone takes the place of the oldest one that used the key.
- If the key already unlocks another household, or recovery is paused for it, Aibou says so and tells you what to do next.
- A key unlocks one household at a time. It can move to a new household once a month.
- If it still will not work, write to us with the details from Settings, Help (they never include your key).
A new phone, or a lost one
If sync was on, enter your license key in Settings on the new phone. Aibou finds the household linked to that key and offers to restore it. If sync was off, your data lives only on the old phone, so restore from a backup file you exported earlier (Settings, Backup, Export backup).
Sitters
- Invite a sitter from Settings, Household, Invite a sitter. This needs the household unlock and sync on. It is free for the sitter.
- A sitter code works once and lasts 10 minutes. If it runs out, make a new one.
- The sitter enters it in Aibou on their own phone, in Settings, under “I'm sitting for someone”, not “I have a code”.
- Both phones need the current version of Aibou. If the sitter's phone asks for an update, update Aibou and enter the code again, or ask for a new one if 10 minutes have passed.
- One phone can sit for up to three households at a time.
Other things
- Your data is not lost when you close the app. It is stored on the phone, and it works with no internet.
- To remove your data, see Delete your data.
